The Specialty Coffee Association of Japan would like to warmly welcome you to the SCAJ World Specialty Coffee Conference and Exhibition 2022 (SCAJ2022). We would also like to express our sincere gratitude for your continued support of our organization's mission and events.The SCAJ World Specialty Coffee Conference and Exhibition is our largest annual event and we hope that this year's SCAJ2022 can once again offer all participants opportunities for exciting interactions and access to the latest information on specialty coffee through various exhibits, seminars, and competitions.
SCAJ2021, which was held last year amid the COVID-19 pandemic, turned out to be successful and well-received despite the various safety restrictions which were in place. We were very grateful and delighted to see that specialty coffee and its culture of appreciation could overcome the challenges of the pandemic.
As the world is trying to move towards the normalization of economic activities following the COVID-19 pandemic, the current events unfolding in Europe are threatening world peace and making it difficult for us to stay optimistic about the future. Nevertheless, this year's SCAJ2022 will be held under the theme of "Come Join the Specialty Coffee Community" on a similar scale and layout as past events held prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Finally, the SCAJ would like to thank the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, the Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau, and the embassies of various coffee producing countries for their kind and invaluable support. We would also like to sincerely thank the exhibitors, sponsors, and all those who make this year's event possible.
