About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Business Project Consultant with expertise in agribusiness, trade, and fundraising to develop high-impact and fundable proposals. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in writing winning grant applications, investment proposals, and donor-funded project concepts, particularly in agriculture, value chain development, and trade-related programs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Research and identify funding opportunities.
2. Develop compelling business plans, concept notes, and proposals aligned with AGRITRADE Uganda’s focus areas.
3. Tailor proposals to donor requirements and private sector investors.
4. Collaborate with technical teams to design projects with clear log frames, budgets, and M&E frameworks.
5. Strengthen AGRITRADE Uganda’s fundraising strategy and maintain a pipeline of opportunities.
6. Edit and refine existing proposals for maximum competitiveness.
Qualifications & Skills:
1. Degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Economics, Business, or Development Studies.
2. 3+ years of proven experience in writing funded agribusiness or trade proposals.
3. Deep knowledge of Uganda’s agriculture sector, trade policies, and key donors.
4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate technical ideas into persuasive proposals.
5. Familiarity with logical frameworks, results-based management, and impact measurement.
