Biography

Kityui Deborah Mabosi is a Director Legal at AGRITRADE Uganda, a Ugandan Advocate of the High Court and Commissioner of Oaths with over 17 years of progressive, hands-on experience in legal practice, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, licensing, enforcement and risk management. She brings a unique blend of expertise as an in-house counsel, company secretary, and legal strategist, with a strong track record of aligning legal functions to organizational goals. In addition to her extensive legal and governance expertise, She is deeply committed to strengthening institutional governance frameworks, fostering compliance cultures, and advancing strategic risk management.


Her corporate and commercial legal career spans both the private and public sectors, covering diverse industries including agriculture, manufacturing, telecommunications, energy, logistics, and regulation. Deborah has held senior and executive roles with leading institutions such as Bidco Uganda Limited, Uganda Posts Limited (Posta Uganda), Uganda Breweries Limited, Eskom Uganda Limited.


She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Heriot-Watt University Edinburgh Scotland, a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre, Kampala and a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) from Makerere University, Kampala. She has also undertaken various professional certifications in Anti-Money Laundering, Data Protection and Privacy, Alternative Dispute Resolution and Corporate Governance, equipping her with a well-rounded perspective to navigate complex regulatory and corporate landscapes.


She was appointed Vice Chairperson of the Uganda Law Society In-house Lawyer Cluster Group in 2023, a role through which she championed the visibility, capacity building, and professional development of in-house legal practitioners.


A passionate advocate for mentorship and professional growth, she actively supports the development of young in-house lawyers. She is also an engaged member of the Uganda Law Society (ULS), the East Africa Law Society (EALS), and the Institute of Corporate Governance of Uganda (ICGU).
